I have cancelled my subscription, mainly due to the lack of communication of strategy, and the failure to implement the hedging. Good while things are good, very bad when things go wrong.
Although there was a two week free trial, I canceled my subscription early due to a lack of e-mails or other communication from the system creator. According to the system description, there was to be hedging or other risk management on trades, but with the current pound trade down over 450 pips, and the euro down significantly as well, there was not a single e-mail sent to suggest a hedge trade. When the initial signal e-mail was sent, I disagreed with the entry price, so fortunately I'm not stuck with all that drawdown, but as far as my experience, so far it's not the best system.
On the separate board the system provider moved to, we're down 130 pips for the week so far -- stopped out @ 30-40 pips a few times. Not ideal.
Also, provider is unresponsive to questions and hostile/defensive to those he/she does choose to answer. Steer clear altogether or be extremely wary otherwise.
I have been a subscriber for a couple of months and have to say that the recent trades bear very little resemblance to the strategy description. There seems to be no risk management or plan for what to do when things turn against you. As stated in the Dec 28th review. No hedging has taken place with a combined 540 pip DD. I would reccomend a strong stomach if you intend to subscribe.
Craig has consistently proven that he will make profits with his system, getting in and out of positions with exceptional precision. If he can keep drawdowns to a minimum as stated, this will be a long term keeper. Well worth the fee as his is likely the best futures system on C2. Let's keep those winners coming!
Overall it is a good system. I specially appreciate the hardwork of the system provider. This system offers subscribers trading opportunities even beyond trading hours of the two major sessions. Lillian
After using this service for 2 months, I finally decide to unsubscribe it. Using above $80K for every trade is not something I can do all the time while the fills are usually hard to be completed. In addition, I realize gradually that capturing a falling knife is not a style that fits me well.
The slippage on this system averaged .066 per trade. The return per annum in real life trading is about 40%. Your fills will average about 75% of what's posted on C2. The 200% return shown does not consider that the trader has to have 5 times the amount in reserve. That being said, it's a system with very low drawdowns, and not many mutual funds will return this kind of percentage. Maybe C2 could readejust the math for these type systems to figure the % return based on total dollars one needs to use the system.
There is no risk management in the system. No stops apparently. V2 is in a $20,000 drawdown. That's a loss of 20% of starting account equity in one day!
Seems very good, I have been trading this in addition to another system, and my own discretionary trading, and am pleased with the calls. They are very tradeable and bring in the profit as advertised.
Good mix of technical/fundamental analysis and market instinct. Looking at it now, I did or would have done pratically the same trades everyday. Cabletrader evidently knows what he's facing - this is one of the most unpredictable forex instruments in the market. I honestly think this system may be a winner on the long run, with excellent returns.
This trial period thing is just ridiculous: Wthin the 7 day period there were only 2 days the system traded: Yesterday and today. And tomorrow the trial will expire. Hardly time to test - especially when you thought subscription will be USD 10 - now it is 95!! Still a good system, but bad business practice.
Initial manually traded with results positive. The system entries are realistic and exits timely for short quick trades with limited loss risk. Sometimes slight delay has permitted an even better entry point, but the markets have not been trending strongly since I have tried the system. Consistency will be the key.
That is why you can never do auto trading with these type of system because of slipage. However if you put a sell order 0.25 below their limit order then it would have been ok
Sometimes a limit order is touched, but is not filled
in actual trading. But then coin collector 40 minute gives a new trading signal. Because my limit order is not filled, I did not enter the new trading signal, still waiting for my limit order to be filled. This costed me
7 es points on Friday Jan 13th, 2006. If one out of 20 trades touches limit order without getting filled, and each would cost 7 es points, then out of the 578
trades, about 30 trades touches limit order without getting filled, and each of these 30 trades cost about 7 es points. so it will cost about 210 es points, which is $10500 per es contract, or $105000 for 10 es contracts. So coin collector trading method
did not make much money, if you take into account
touching limit order without getting filled.
